Product description
Apron feeder is a reliable feeding way for when the material to be conveyed is sharp, lumpy, abrasive, heavy, high temperature. It is a good feeding solution more robust than a traditional belt feeder.
China Megamine Apron feeder is designed to feed material at a desired handling capacity to downstream equipment. The conveyed material is on many overlapping pans attached to multiple strands of a heavy tractor crawler-type chain.

Feature
1. Standard heavy-duty ribbed pans prevent excessive deflection under high-impact loading & severely abrasive working conditions.
2. Cast segmental track chain bolted to heavy steel hubs keyed to oversized front drive shaft.
3. Standard crawler-type under carriage parts have a long service life.
4. Rugged steel support frame with impact rails to limit pans deflection, thus eliminating permanent bending of the pans.
5. The heavy-duty design delivers high availability, ease of operation, low maintenance and operational costs and greater profits.
Main components& features
The plate feeder is composed of driving device, head sprocket, frame, pans, traction chains, rollers and tensioning device.
Sprocket
Sprocket design features three cast manganese alloy steel segments that allow replacement of one segment at a time, without needing to dismantle the feeder or remove the chain, pans, skirts and material on the feeder.
Rather than taking multiple shifts to change out the drive sprockets, the upgraded design allows a change out in just hours. In addition, a half-tooth design with an odd number of teeth is used to allow contact with the chain during every second turning, which doubles the life of the sprockets.
Pans
The chain plate is stamped and welded structure, the arc lap between the chain plates, no leakage during work, the chain plate is strengthened up and down, and has greater carrying capacity. According to different working conditions, we will choose the most suitable design to meet your requirements. For example, we use manganese pans to replace cast steel pans, with a longitudinal center rib, avoiding excessive deflections under high-impact loading and severely abrasive working conditions.
Chains
The track chain is used in our apron feeder, because the pin and bush are made of heat-treated alloy steel. To withstand greater weight, the chain link is made by drop forging, which can effectively prevent the external sands entering, thus, prolong the chain life.
Rollers
Single flange tractor type rollers are mounted on support members in groups of 2 to 4 units to make disassembly and replacement easier.
